John M. Rooke
He currently serves in several capacities, including 24
years as play-by-play voice for Providence College basketball; Big
East Conference football and basketball play-by-play for ESPNU, ESPN Regional Television
and the IMG Sports Network; ACC football for IMG;
20 seasons as voice for the New England Patriots and New
England Revolution; host for Inside the Big East and Golfing the World
on ESPNU, Fox Sports Net and additional regional sports networks and local TV stations; and
talk host for the NBC Sports Radio Network, the WEEI Radio Network in
Boston, Providence and throughout New England...and a former host on ESPN Radio.
A 1981 journalism graduate of the University of Texas
at Austin, Rooke holds a position as adjunct professor in journalism at one of the nation's top communication
arts schools, Emerson College in Boston. He was recently named one of the top sports broadcasting instructors in the country by the
Sportscasters Talent Agency of America. John also serves as a commercial voice artist, and as an auctioneer.
Previously, John has performed duties as a gubernatorial
communications director, a program director and manager for a major communications company, a development officer for a children's
charity, and as a television sports anchor for 25 years in several markets.

The Company
Having started as JMR Communications in 1991, John
Rooke began serving broadcast stations and professional sports franchises by providing voice-talent and public
relations services. Since that time, clients have included television and radio stations, internet sites, newspapers,
magazines, high schools, colleges and universities, non-profit organizations and political candidates/office holders.
